How this worksheet works
Ending members = starting members − losses + new members + reactivations. Churn = losses ÷ starting members. Revenue and visits per member use the average active count you enter.
Use the result in context
This simple churn view uses the opening member cohort. It is not revenue churn, lifetime value or a cohort-retention analysis. If losses include people who joined during the month, use a more detailed cohort schedule. A zero opening count makes churn undefined.
Changing an input clears the previous result so you do not mistake an old calculation for the current scenario. Load the illustrative example to explore the method, then replace it with your own figures. Download before leaving if you want to keep your worksheet.
